Anastasia Loktaeva was born in St. Petersburg.
After graduating from high school, she moved to the UK, where she graduated from the University of the Arts London. After university, she worked on the development of fabric prints at Alexander McQueen.
Anastasia’s artistic practice is diverse: from deep studies of religion and the history of ancient civilizations to modern research in the field of consciousness. Anastasia studies the structure of human experiences through archetypal models of the past, which are expressed through cult images, signs, symbols and rituals of that time.
In his practice, the artist combines models of the past and present, searches for common and lost, constructs his own visual images of reality, and tries to answer transcendental timeless questions about life, death, personality, and himself.
In addition to her artistic activities, Anastasia is a curator, lecturer, and writes articles for publications such as Snob, RTVI and others.
