Viktor Dyuzhev works primarily with materials that he encounters in places dear to his heart — time is already locked in them and stories are forever encrypted. Among them, ceramics sounds like a zero symbolic element — it is made by the artist by hand and brought in from outside. It is fair to say that Dyuzhev grows and synthesizes works from a kind of artistic biomaterial, providing them with the author’s mark. In terms of content, the works represent a visual narrative without words and a specific narrative, but with an inexhaustible juggling of images inherent in such a language. The works wink at the viewer and remain open to interpretation: the combinations of meanings are absurdly endless and allow us to discover something new not so much in the space of the work, but in the eyes of the beholder.
Education
He received an education in the specialty of «Fine Art Teacher» in Lipetsk, where he also studied in graduate school at the Department of Philosophy and wrote his PhD thesis on the topic of connecting Roerich and the New Age.
